Teaching Methodologies

The teaching methodology recommended in this curricular unit, comprises a simplified assessment based on summaries of the main points
covered in each lecture, is aligned with the objective of promoting broad knowledge within the scope of sustainable development and
planning, management and operation of cities , its systems and infrastructures.

Learning Results

The objective of this course is to provide students with greater knowledge of the current reality in the planning, management and operation
of cities, their systems and infrastructures, exposing them to diverse experiences and realities conveyed by a panel of external experts. The
experts to be selected each year must cover a wide range of entities and companies.
It is also the objective of this curricular unit to develop critical and writing skills for technical-scientific documents, research, oral presentation
and writing of technical-scientific works, with the aim of:
– promote a space for reflection on the themes of sustainability and cities,
– develop relevant bibliography research capabilities, research feasibility, means and sources to use and work methodology and
In the end, the student must have the necessary skills to understand the multiple dimensions of the problems and challenges of the
sustainable development of cities.

Program

This curricular unit does not have a specific pre-defined program. The particular focus on one or another topic will depend on the range and
profile of experts to be invited in each edition.
