Master in Advanced Health Management Systems

Course Objectives

The digital transition in health imposes challenges, such as monitoring, maintenance and management of a large number of increasingly sophisticated equipment; storage, treatment and management of an increasing amount of data; and the physical and semantic interoperability between equipment and systems. The need for specialized training in these areas is growing, and there is already a training offer in other countries.
As part of the goals to improve health and reduce costs, one of the challenges is to harmonize the electronic health record, with a view to data interoperability, distributed access, security and privacy, as well as the promotion of Informed Choices.
This proposal aims to contribute to a responsible future in the management of physical assets and data of health institutions, providing the different actors with the knowledge to follow trends, strategies and international standards in the field of physical assets and Information Systems specific to hospital engineering.
