The Student-Athlete Statute can be obtained by any student participating in National or International University Championships organized by FADU, EUSA, or FISU, fulfilling their eligibility requirements in the scope of academic and sports merit, namely:
– Approval of at least 36 ECTS;
– Call-up and participation in Collective Sports Selections of the Polytechnic of Coimbra;
– Participation in a stipulated percentage of training sessions;
– Participation in an individual university sports event and contribution to the University Club Trophy;
– Compliance with all regulations, norms, and guidelines produced by the Sports Services of IPC.
The Student-Athlete of the Polytechnic of Coimbra has the following rights:
– Priority in choosing schedules or classes;
– Exemption from absences motivated by participation in training and official competitions of the represented sport;
– Possibility of changing dates of formal assessment moments that coincide with championship and competition days;
– Access to a special exam period;
– Access to Sports Merit Awards, being able to obtain financial support up to the total amount of tuition.
