Course Objectives
The LCFRN is part of the scientific area 62: agriculture, forestry and fisheries, aiming to provide a solid scientific, training professionals capable of implementing viable and sustainable management of both our forests and natural resources, which should meet the needs of society, maintaining the integrity of ecosystems
The proposed study plan is varied and promotes and stimulates autonomy as well as creative thinking. Also, it provides students with a broad perspective on forest and natural resources, on the land, on people and ontheir own relation with society.
The curricular structure deepens professional culture, enhances argumentation skills, and stimulates team work skills and creativity in comprehensive subjects where knowledge is applied tosolve real-life problems.
The optional curricular units and the training period contribute to the course flexibility, allowing its adaptability to the labour market needs and responding to students expectations. In the end of the1st cycle students may start working or follow up the 2nd studies cycle.

Learning Objectives
The Bachelors in Forest Science and Natural Resources will have acquired:
1) Scientific culture to understand the interrelations of the subsystems present in both forest systems and natural resources. They should be aware of their role in promoting development.
2) Technological culture enabling them to intervene in projects implementation and monitoring. They should be able to analyse, forecast, and simulate the consequences of their actions and management options.
