Course Objectives
This master’s degree is the result of a partnership established between the Escola Superior Agrária de Coimbra and the Higher Institute of Accounting and Administration of Coimbra, aiming to provide advanced and innovative, demanding and professional training in the fields of management and agricultural sciences. The knowledge acquired through the in-depth studies developed throughout the course should be an asset for students and contribute to the sustainable development of agricultural companies.
Access Conditions
a) Holders of a bachelor’s degree, or legal equivalent, preferably in the areas of Business Sciences, Agrarian Sciences or the like;
b) Holders of a foreign higher education degree, or legal equivalent, awarded as a sequence of a 1st cycle of studies organized according to the principles of the Bologna Process by a State adhering to this Process, preferably in the areas of Business Sciences, Agrarian Sciences or the like ;
c) Holders of a foreign higher academic degree that is recognized by the Technical-Scientific Councils of the Escola Superior Agrária de Coimbra and of the Higher Institute of Accounting and Administration of Coimbra as satisfying the objectives of the Bachelor’s degree;
d) Holders of a school, scientific or professional curriculum, which is recognized as attesting the capacity to carry out this cycle of studies by the Technical-Scientific Councils of the Escola Superior Agrária de Coimbra and of the Higher Institute of Accounting and Administration of Coimbra

Learning Objectives
The Master has the specific objectives of giving graduates:
– Competence in the execution of business functions in agrarian domains;
– Technical and scientific capacity for innovative resolution of problems inherent to the agrarian sector;
– contribute to the sustainable development of agricultural companies.
They will thus be able to carry out a wide range of activities, from direct support to farmers, to the integration of multidisciplinary teams in technical offices for the design, implementation and management of regional and national or even international projects.
Access to Superior Studies
Holders of a Master’s degree in Management of Agricultural Companies may apply for a higher PhD level.
