Course Objectives
The second cycle of studies leading to the degree of Master in Social Communication, New Media, aims to respond to the training requirements that the latest developments in the field of media came to place, both to media professionals and to students from 1st cycle studies. To this extent, this cycle of studies will graduate students to deepen analytical, understanding and intervention skills in their relationship with the various modes of media use (as producers or content consumers, but also in their administration or strategic planning). For professionals in areas affected by the media, in a world where changes occur in an accelerated way, this cycle of studies will provide a demanding updating of their knowledge

Access is in accordance with the 2nd Cycle of Studies Academic Regulations for IPC’s courses.

Media professionals: journalists, producers, directors, content managers and / or analysts;
Professionals from other sectors, where the relation or use of the media is a relevant factor;
Researchers and / or teachers in the field of media.

Learning Objectives
Enable with an advanced academic preparation and a practical and critical specialization for the exercise of professional activities in diverse strands of communication through the media.
Provide the acquisition of specific competences – conceptual, technological and creative – in the field of social communication, from languages ??to communication tools and devices of the new media, in order to create the practical, critical and reflexive skills necessary for the development of project work and innovative and experimental insertion in the field of new media.
To qualify for the understanding and application of theoretical and practical frameworks translated into the operationalization of tools essential to the professional practice in the areas of the course.
Provide knowledge of the various socio-economic realities in the area of ??the course, identifying and developing the professional possibilities for the conception of contents, products and services.
