Course Objectives
The audiovestibular evaluation in children presents itself as a challenge due to the specific needs of each child in their different areas of expertise. The current job market requires specific training in pediatric Audiology, namely in vestibulogy, auditory processing, as well as in the area of auditory rehabilitation.
This Microaccreditation course consists of a Curricular unit, which covers contents ranging from the evaluation of the vestibular system in children of different age groups, through the study of auditory processing in children through electrophysiological and behavioral tests to pediatric auditory re(h)abilitation, with emphasis on protocols and strategies best suited to the needs of these children and their families.
Access Conditions
Students in the 4th year of the audiology Degree Course at the Escola Superior de Tecnologia da Saúde de Coimbra (ESTeSC-IPC), as well as holders of the audiology degree who are master’s degree students taught by ESTeSC-IPC, can apply for this micro-credential.
