Course Objectives
The evolution of functional assessment techniques requires Clinical Physiology professionals to master modern, precise, and non-invasive tools. Neuromuscular
ultrasonography (NMUS) has become, in recent years, an essential method to complement traditional neurophysiological studies, allowing for a more
comprehensive approach to the diagnosis and monitoring of peripheral nervous system disorders. The creation of a dedicated microcreditation in this area addresses a growing need within the field and represents a strategic investment in the modernization of Clinical Physiology training.
This microcreditation provides students with a distinctive professional profile, aligned with international trends in clinical physiology and neurodiagnostics. Many reference centers already use NMUS as part of their assessment protocols, and its increasing adoption demands the presence of trained and certified professionals. This technique helps reduce the need for more invasive examinations and contributes to faster and more accurate clinical decision-making. Integrating this competency strengthens the connection between higher education, technological innovation, and the real needs of clinical practice.
