Learning Results

The Curricular Unit (UC) of Aromatic, Ornamental Plants and Green Spaces aims to provide students of the Degree in Agronomy with comprehensive information about the various activities, such as the production and use of aromatic plants, cut flowers and potted plants, the production and use of garden and park plants and/or plants with landscape interest.

Program

1. Economic and social importance of aromatic, medicinal, and spice plants (AMCP) and ornamental plants;
2. (1) AMCP; (2) Cut flowers; (3) Potted plants; (3) Garden creation and maintenance of herbaceous gardens; (4) Planting and maintenance of ornamental and sports lawns;
3. Practical work in the field (harvesting plant material; pruning shrubs), in the laboratory (plant planting and propagation), and in the nursery (planting and acclimatization of seedlings).
