Agricultural Mechanization

Teaching Methodologies

Classes are supported by presentations, teacher notes, and discussion of case studies.
Small working groups (up to 4 students) will be set up to carry out and report on practical work, where appropriate practical work will be carried out in the field or in the machine hangar.

Learning Results

Knows the constitution and operation of different types of diesel and Otto cycle engines.
Knows the main functions of the transmission and connecting elements of the tractor.
Knows and is able to use mechanical pull sets, or manually operated tools, in a technically and economically organized manner, to perform the tasks required by organic farming.
Knows the operation and rationalize the use of agricultural equipment, studying them in their applications

Program

1. Diesel and explosion engines; Distribution, intake and exhaust, fuel supply, refrigeration and lubrication systems; Transmission systems. Hydraulic system; Steering, Brakes and Tires.
2. Farmland adaptation equipment, Soil tillage equipment; Manure, slurry and solid fertilizer distribution equipment; Sowing, planting and transplanting equipment; Sprayers and dusters equipment; Harvest equipment. Specific equipment for use in organic agricultural production
