Learning Results
The objective of this Curricular Unit is to promote, in the student who successfully completes it, the skills listed below. As a result of the learning process, the student: 1. Masters the fundamental concepts of differential and integral calculus and the aspects related to their applications; 2. Identifies and solves 1st order ordinary differential equations.

2.1. Differential equations of separable variables

Continuous assessment
The student must attend to at least 75% of the total number of classes effectively taught.
- Part 1: Test 1 (T1) - Written test with a weight of 35%
Performance Assessments (PA1) in the TP classes of Part 1: weight 10%
- Part 2: Test 2 (T2) - Written test with a weight of 45%
Performance Assessments (PA2) in the TP classes of Part 2: weight 10%
Test 1 will assess the following program topics: competences 1.1 and 1.2.
Test 2 will assess the following program topics: competences 1.3 to 2.3.
The final classification (on a scale of 0 to 20) results from the weighted average of the evaluation components mentioned above, rounded to two decimal places:
Final classification = Part 1 + Part 2, where Part 1 = max{0.45*T1, 0.35*T1+0.1*PA1} and Part 2 = max{0.55*T2, 0.45*T2+0.1*PA2}
The student is approved if the "Final classification" is equal to or greater than 9.50.
Assessment in final exam
Assessment with only one written exam, consisting of two parts: Part 1 (weight 45%) and Part 2 (weight 55%).
The student is approved if the classification is equal to or greater than 9.50.
Remark 1: Students who are not approved by Continuous assessment for the Curricular Unit and who obtain a classification of less than 9.50 values in only one of the parts, Part 1 or Part 2, can choose to take only the part of the final exam corresponding to that part.
Remark 2: Students are not allowed to bring any reference books and/or reading material, mobile phones and/or any other unauthorized electronic devices into the test room. No formulary other than the one distributed by the teacher at the beginning of the test is allowed.
The alternatives for specific situations provided for in the law will comply with what is provided for in the "Regulamento de Avaliação do Aproveitamento dos Estudantes da ESAC" (RAAE).
