Training Placement

The skills obtained successfully with the curricular units.

The methodologies addressed will be in agreement with the external superviser in the company and related directly to the tasks to be performed by the student, according to the work plan defined by the external advisor and within the scope of the LAB course. Methodologies should be described and justified in the final report.

• Develop the specific skills working.
• Acquire the specific skills related to the area in which training takes place, expanding and consolidating knowledge acquired throughout the course.
• Improve student employability in the work

The internship plan must be prepared jointly by the internal supervisor, the external supervisor and the student.

1. Training in the a profissional context in one or more of the activities provided for in the technical training component.
2. Preparation of a written report. The report should describe the professional work developed, the techniques and/or methodologies used and discuss the results obtained. It should include bibliographic research and a critical approach to the results obtained, related to the proposed objectives.
3. Oral presentation and discussion of the work developed during the internship.

During the frequency and exam periods, the assessment has three mandatory components:

1. The work carried out in the company or institution - evaluated by the external supervisor, through the completion of an appropriate form, leading to a classification expressed on a scale from 0 to 20 values, rounded to the nearest units, worth 35% of the Final Grade;
2. The Internship Report - appreciated by the Internal Supervisor by filling in the appropriate form, leading to a classification expressed on a scale from 0 to 20 values, rounded up to units, worth 30% of the Final Grade;
3. The presentation and discussion of the Internship Report - the report and its presentation and discussion are evaluated by a jury made up of three elements, chaired by the Course Coordinator, or by another element designated by him, and having as members the Internal Advisor and a examiner, appointed by the Internship Committee, rounded to units, worth 35% of the Final Grade.
