Teaching Methodologies
Due to the interruption of the LAB course, the curricular unit (CU) will not run normally during the semester.
To provide the proposed competences the teaching/learning process will be based on tutorials requested by the students and scheduled by the professors via NONIO or e-mail:

Learning Results
Know all the routine procedures of conducting a sheep and/or goat farm, the productive skills and their differences, the importance of the sector in the regional economy and the constraints to its development.
Program
a) national breeds of sheep and goats and their aptitudes;
b) physiological mechanisms involved in feeding, nutrition, reproduction, lactation and growth and in the pathology of the species;
c) general management, food, reproductive and sanitary rules, specific to each species;
d) characteristics of milk, meat and wool production in each species and respective economic importance;
e) related biometric systems and structures involved;
f) production systems and regional differences, constraints and objectives to be pursued.
Grading Methods
Continuous evaluation
Due to the interruption of the course, the curricular unit will not run in the academic year 2025/2026. Therefore, continuous assessment will not be possible.
Final exam
1) Written test (80%); 2) Practical exam (20%).
Students will be approved if the weighted average of their marks in the two parts is at least 9.5.
