Teaching Methodologies
The teaching methodologies used aim to provide an effective transmission of knowledge and dialogue with students that favors and consolidates the process of teaching learning.
In the theoretical-practical classes the explanation of the principles necessary to the development of the programmatic contents and the acquisition of the defined competences is made. Students are asked to participate in adapting the knowledge acquired to solve specific situations.
The study of concrete cases worked by the students are presented and discussed in the classroom with the active and critical participation of the teacher and the students.

1. Assess the importance of spring-summer agro-industrial arable crops in the region, the country and the world;
2. Know the main agro-industrial arable crops grown in spring-summer;
3. Evaluate particular and current situations of agro-industrial arable crops, in the spring-summer season;
4. Monitor agro-industrial arable crops in spring-summer from an ecological perspective.

1. Main areas and regions of production of agro-industrial arable crops in spring-summer, or likely to be used as such, at national and international level;
2. Cultivated areas, productions and yields obtained;
3. Difficulties, at national and international level, in the field of spring-summer agro-industrial arable crops;
4. Identification of crops in different stages of the vegetative cycle;
5. Vegetative cycle and cultural cycle: application to the studied crops;
6. Main requirements of crops and respective cultural techniques;
7. Specificities of agro-industrial arable crops in spring-summer;
8. Critical evaluation of the cultural options followed/recommended;
9. Evaluation of the final production of spring-summer agro-industrial arable crops, in qualitative and quantitative terms;
10. Ecological strategies for obtaining a final product;
11. Perspectives for the future, from a perspective of environmentally friendly and lasting development;
12. Impacts of defined strategies.
Grading Methods
Continuous evaluation:
The evaluation of the Curricular Unit (CU) consists of a mixed written test, with an elaborated answer, short and/or multiple choice (65%) and a written work/report/project elaborated, with bibliographical research, related to a particular topic interest for the CU and for the technical-professional training of students (35%), in accordance with the provisions of the ESAC Student Development Assessment Regulation and other applicable legislation.
Final exam evaluation:
The final exam evaluation consists of a written test, which evaluates the entire CU.
