In order to attend the main objectives the lessons of taxation will be theoretical and pratiques, where we discuss several exemplificative cases. 

Learning Results

1.The course aims to give students comprehensive knowledge base in order to develop their own skills to
enable it to frame the options faced by companies in the set of rules and decisions of a fiscal nature,
conditioned by constant legislative change under IRC and VAT.
2.In this context of rapid change in tax legislation aims to combine theory with the resolution of practical
cases, based on current legislation.
3.The aim is to ensure learning to prepare students with a solid foundation of knowledge which might enable it
to properly address the problems of fiscal management, whatever the rules.

Grading Methods

Students may choose one of the following assessment regimes:

A) Examination Assessment

In accordance with the applicable rules and regulations, this assessment consists of a written examination held during the examination periods set out in the academic calendar.

Pass requirement: a minimum mark of 10 out of 20.

Marks above 16 out of 20 may be subject to an oral examination, with a maximum duration of 20 minutes, in order to verify that the level of knowledge demonstrated is consistent with the mark awarded.

B) Continuous Assessment

This assessment regime comprises two components:

i) In-class Questions (IQ)
A total of 10 individual in-class questions.
From the second week of classes onwards, one question will be set in one of the classes, up to a total of ten.

ii) Final Examination (FE)
As described in A).

Final mark calculation formula:
Final Mark = 80% FE + 20% IQ

Marking scale: 0–20.
Pass requirement: a minimum mark of 10 out of 20.

Additional provision:
Marks above 16 out of 20 may be subject to an oral examination, with a maximum duration of 20 minutes, in order to verify that the level of knowledge demonstrated is consistent with the mark awarded.
