Teaching Methodologies

The teaching method is theoretical-practical, essentially calling for critical participation from students, simulating, here and there, theoreticalpractical
situations, similar to those they will encounter in forensic life. More than expository teaching, inclusive teaching is required,
provocative to criticism and student participation.

Learning Results

The learning objectives are in accordance with the teaching method adopted, as they aim to:
01. The historical understanding of OSAE with a view to internalizing a deep sense of belonging and its role in Portuguese society
02. The internalization of the main functions of the Solicitor and the Execution Agent as assistants in the good administration of justice, in
the forensic world and in the Portuguese courts
03. Understanding the range of ethical and deontological duties placed on your shoulders, in the context of a profession with conditioned
access and regulated exercise
04. Identification of the mode of exercise and dissemination of your image and professional information
05. The importance of professional secrecy as a generator of trust, honorability, good name and reputation of the profession
06. Limits and sanctions for deviating from the values ??of the profession, especially civil, disciplinary and criminal protection

Program

Part I – Brief History of Ethics and Professional Deontology of Solicitors and Enforcement Agents: from its birth in Antiquity to its affirmation
in the face of the challenges posed on the threshold of the 21st century. Part II – Being a Solicitor and Execution Agent at the dawn of the
20th century. XXI. Part III – The ethical duties of Solicitors and AEs and Professional Societies. Part IV – Attire, image, information and
advertising of OSAE Members. Part V – Provisions, fees and exemption from remuneration for forensic services provided by OSAE
Associates. Part VI – The ethical duty to maintain professional secrecy, confidentiality or reservation. Part VII – Civil and disciplinary liability.
Part VIII – The pension of Lawyers, Solicitors, A.E. Single Chapter – Pensions for Lawyers, Attorneys and Enforcement Agents.
