Teaching Methodologies
The teaching method is theoretical-practical, essentially calling for critical participation from students, simulating theoretical-practical
situations, similar to those they will encounter in forensic life. More than expository teaching, inclusive, critical-provoking teaching and
student participation are required.
Learning Results
Allow students a global and specific perspective on the definitive and provisional ordering of dominance in the Portuguese legal system.
The learning objectives are:
1. Acquire a historical perspective on real rights
2. Understand the concept of real law and distinguish it from obligational law
3. Identify the constitutional principles of real rights linked to the internal and external sides
4. Identify the main characteristics of real rights in order to distinguish them from other figures
5. Acquire in-depth knowledge of the various real rights of enjoyment or use essential to definitive dominion order
6. Acquire knowledge of the various real security rights
7. Acquire knowledge of real acquisition rights
8. Identify possession as a privileged form of provisional dominion order
9. Allow the student to understand the importance of property registration in terms of publicizing real rights
