Organisational Behaviour

Teaching Methodologies

A student-centered approach is used as a pedagogical model, aiming to cross-fertilize knowledge and promote autonomy, critical thinking
and the ability to apply the taught contents. Learning based on problem solving is privileged, using case studies, as well as simulations of
group and inter-individual dynamics. These models and pedagogical tools encourage individual work, while fostering group collaboration
and creative problem solving.

Learning Results

1. Develop theoretical understanding of the main concepts, theories and models of organizational behavior, namely motivation, leadership,
organizational culture and communication;
2. Develop critical analysis of human behavior in organizations, raising students’ awareness of the needs arising from the functioning of
information societies, particularly in the areas of acquiring/updating information and professional change;
3. Stimulate teamwork skills, simulation potential and a taste for taking risks, promoting the practical application of the learned concepts.
