Information Systems for Human Resources Management

Teaching Methodologies

The teaching methods (TM) to be used are balanced between traditional and active and are as follows:
TM1 – Exposition of content by the teacher (compatible with LO1, LO2, LO3, LO4, LO5, LO6 and LO7).
TM2 – Testing the content learned by the students (compatible with LO1, LO2, LO3, LO4, LO5, LO6 and LO7)
TM3 – Problem solving by students (compatible with LO6, LO7 and LO8)
TM4 – Interaction and sharing of ideas by students (compatible with LO6, LO7 and LO8)
TM5 – Development of critical thinking by students (compatible with LO3, LO4, LO7 and LO8)
TM6 – Research by students (compatible with LO7 and LO8)
TM7 – Creation by the students (compatible with LO8)
Classes will be taught on a theoretical-practical basis and the teaching methodology will include various pedagogical methods, respectively
the expository, demonstrative and project-based learning methods.
The expository method will be used to present the concepts and main contents of the course. The teacher organizes and presents the
content orally, structuring the reasoning and the result to be obtained. This presentation will be supported by slides, which will then be made
available to the students. This presentation will be supplemented with some references.
The demonstration method will be used to exemplify some applications of the concepts and main functions of the ERP system used (ERP
Odoo). On the basis of the various practical worksheets provided, the teacher shares his know-how and demonstrates and assists the
students in their execution, so that they successfully carry out what is asked of them, sometimes on paper but also on a computer,
particularly in the context of experimenting with various aspects of implementing an ERP system.
The project-based learning (PBL) method will be used to build knowledge through long, continuous study work, the purpose of which is to
meet a challenge/problem that consists briefly of choosing an organization, which will be analyzed and used to model, evaluate, optimize
and implement that organization’s business processes in an ERP system with a view to more efficient and integrated management of that
organization’s human resources.
