Teaching Methodologies
The methodology used is expository, for the presentation of the concepts of the curricular unit, supported by practical experimentation through the realization of exercises of application of the transmitted concepts, in the computers. Practical experimentation will seek to approach, whenever possible, the situations that students will encounter in their professional lives. In addition to classes, students must develop complementary work, which will be indicated throughout the course unit.

Assessment Process
The assessment process comprises two possibilities: Continuous Assessment (CA) or Exam Assessment (EA), which are detailed below:
CA) Continuous Assessment:
This assessment method consists of six evaluation moments:
a) Two practical exams will be conducted on the computer, each lasting 45 minutes, with the option to consult non-digitized materials. Students will be notified (in class and via NONIO) at least 2 weeks in advance regarding the subject(s) to be evaluated in the practical exams.
b) Four unannounced computer-based mini-tests will be administered, each with a maximum duration of 15 minutes and the option to consult. Admission conditions for continuous assessment: The requirement for remaining in this assessment method is an attendance rate of 85% in classes.
It should be noted that:
- The final grade in the continuous assessment method is the weighted average of the grades obtained in each of the practical exams and the 4 mini-tests. The weight of the practical exams is 30% and 45%, respectively, for the first and second, and the weight of the 4 mini-tests is 25%.
EA) Exam Assessment:
The exam assessment involves a practical exam, conducted on the computer, lasting 90 minutes, scored out of 20 points. This exam will take place in any of the regular exam periods and only allows the consultation of non-digitized materials.
In either of the presented options (CA or EA), approval in the course requires obtaining a minimum final grade of 10 points. No oral exams are conducted for course approval.
