Grading Methods

The evaluation methodologies comprises two evaluation periods, namely: the continuous evaluation and/or the final evaluation.

MA1: Continuous Evaluation:

The continuous evaluation comprises two summative assessment tests, with the syllabus divided into two parts. It takes place in the middle and at the end of the semester. The minimum grade for each test is 8 points.

MA2: Final Evaluation:

Alternatively or if students are not approved in the continuous evaluation, they must undergo an exam, which focuses on all the subjects taught.

To obtain approval in the curricular unit, the final grade must be equal to or greater than 9,5 points.

The use of Artificial Intelligence is not permitted in written assessments.

To protect academic integrity when there is founded suspicion of fraud, the student is required to take an oral exam to verify the knowledge and skills demonstrated. This oral exam is conducted by the teacher of the curricular unit and two other teachers from the same field. If the student fails to demonstrate the knowledge and skills shown in the written exam, it will be invalidated.
