Leadership and Team Management

Teaching Methodologies

Teaching and Learning Methodologies: i) Dynamic Expository Classes, structured to be interactive and participatory, with the aim of
providing students with a solid foundation of theoretical concepts on leadership, team management, motivation, decision-making, conflict
management, among other essential topics. During these sessions, group discussions and analysis of practical cases are promoted,
allowing students to actively engage in the learning process and understand the application of the concepts in practice; ii) Case Studies:
The real case study will allow students to apply the knowledge acquired in solving concrete leadership and team management problems.
The solutions proposed by the students are discussed in the classroom, encouraging critical reflection and strategic thinking; iii) Leadership
Simulations: Leadership simulations are a methodology that allows students to assume leadership roles in simulated scenarios, developing
decision-making, communication and conflict management skills; iv) Practical Teamwork: An important part of the CU consists of practical
work carried out in groups. These allow students to apply leadership theories, motivation strategies, and agile methodologies in developing
solutions to real business problems. Team collaboration allows students to develop group work, negotiation, and problem-solving skills,
which are essential for team management in the modern business world. Students should also use tools such as OKRs and KPIs to
measure the team’s performance and ensure that the proposed solutions are effective; vi) Continuous Feedback: Students are encouraged
to reflect on their leadership practices and decisions throughout the semester, receiving regular feedback from peers and faculty
The pedagogical model is student-centered, seeking to promote active learning and the development of soft skills, such as emotional
intelligence, conflict resolution, effective communication and teamwork. The teaching methodology is strongly oriented towards the
integration of theory with practice, using modern and interactive resources that simulate the current work environment. In addition, students
are encouraged to critically reflect on their practices and continuously improve with the support of constructive feedback.
