Internships and Professional Placement

Teaching Methodologies

The curricular unit adopts a teaching methodology based on learning in a professional context, aligned with a student-centered pedagogical
model. This approach promotes the connection between theory and practice, enabling students to develop skills in real and relevant
contexts where they apply the knowledge acquired in other curricular units and deepen their understanding through practical experience
during the internship.
The preliminary preparation, conducted during tutorial hours, provides the necessary guidance to prepare students for the internship and
the final report. These sessions address fundamental aspects such as citation standards, access to reliable information sources, report
structure, and methodologies for analyzing and reflecting on professional practice. This support combines theoretical insights and practical
guidance, tailored to individual and/or collective needs, ensuring solid and effective preparation.
During the internship, students are integrated into real work environments, fostering direct contact with the professional setting and
facilitating the development of technical skills in areas such as commercial management in national and international markets, logistics,
supply chain management, marketing, data analysis, finance, or other fields related to the organization’s scope. In addition, transversal
skills such as problem-solving, time management, and teamwork are developed. This practical experience is essential for consolidating the
ability to apply the knowledge and management methods acquired throughout the course, ensuring comprehensive training within the field
of Business Sciences.
Preparing the final report allows students to consolidate analytical, bibliographic research, and critical reflection skills. This exercise
encourages the integration of theory from academic sources with the practice experienced during the internship, promoting a structured and
well-founded perspective.
Finally, the defense of the report fosters critical reflection on the learning process, strengthening communication and analytical skills while
enabling self-assessment of the learning outcomes achieved during the curricular unit.
