This curricular unit is based on an innovative approach, with relevance for society, it is predominantly oriented towards professional development, comprising surveying, problematizing and collecting data, testing the project, writing and revising the work (Article 16 of the Regulation of the 2nd Cycle of Studies at CBS|ISCAC).

Its main objective is the development of a research work in one of the scientific areas of the Master of Accounting and Business Taxation.

Development of the study proposed in the work plan prepared under the supervision of the supervisor, assessed by the Master’s Technical-Scientific Committee and approved by the Technical-Scientific Council.

The following areas will be analysed in the Project Plan:

I – Introduction and literature review
II – Identification and characterization of the problem
III – General and specific objectives
IV – Literature review
V – Methodology
1 – Quantitative approach
2 – Qualitative approach
3 – Normative and legal approach
VI – Ethics in research

In accordance with the Academic Regulation of the 2nd Cycle of Studies of the Polytechnic of Coimbra, public exam are the public act of defending the Project. The same regulation establishes the rules and procedures of this exam.
