Teaching Methodologies

The following teaching-learning (TM) methodologies will be used:
TM1 – Theoretical and theoretical-practical component, but with a strong focus on knowledge sharing, seminars and workshops,
TM2 – Debates with the participation of various experts promoting the sharing of good organizational practices in these fields of study.

Learning Results

Learning objectives (LO):
LO1. Understand the current context in the area of mental health and well-being.
LO2. Distinguish between the concepts of emotion, emotional intelligence and emotional education.
LO3. Acquire greater awareness of one’s own emotions, thoughts and behaviours.
LO4. Recognise the competences (Awareness, Emotion Management and Personal Leadership) as enhancers of mental health and wellbeing.
LO5 . Practise different techniques for managing negative emotional states.
LO6. Practise different techniques to consciously generate positive emotional states.
LO7. Recognise the importance of managing emotions in communication.
Competences to be developed (C):
C1. Recognise emotions and communication styles in themselves and others.
C2. Develop techniques for dealing with negative emotional states and generating positive emotional states.
C3. Develop communication skills, self-motivation, resilience and adaptive goal-setting.

4.1. Awareness (emotional, cognitive and behavioural) – Awareness of one’s emotions, thoughts and behaviours. Recognize emotions in
others. Communication styles.
4.2. Emotion Management – Prevention of negative emotional states. Techniques for dealing with negative emotional states. Techniques to
generate positive emotional states. Emotional contagion.
4.3. Personal Leadership – Life skills: communication, self-motivation, resilience, setting adaptive goals, seeking help and resources.
