Teaching Methodologies
The methodology favours learning based on interactive exposition and demonstration with practical case studies. Discussion and formative feedback on EndNote as a Research Support Tool. Qualitative assessment, based on work developed throughout the training and class participation.
Learning Results
By the end of the training, participants should be able to:
· Create and configure an EndNote library and apply best practices for organisation and backup.
· Import references from databases, DOI, and RIS/BibTeX files, and correct essential metadata.
· Organise references using groups and search, and manage duplicates at a basic level.
· Attach and manage PDFs associated with references (key concepts and best practices).
· Use Cite While You Write in Word to insert citations, create bibliographies, and change styles (e.g., APA/Vancouver/IEEE).
· Troubleshoot common formatting issues and inconsistencies in citations/bibliographies.
