Educação Física e Didática da Educação Física

Teaching Methodologies

Theoretical-practical classes have an expository and practical component of Physical Education (PE) content and experimental formation in sports, creating conditions for the exemplification and training of essential procedures, methodologies and strategies in PE didactics; Laboratory Practice classes develop the students’ physical motor skills, involving motor assessment in PE, contributing to the students’ motor literacy and culture and to increasing their physical condition, essential for an active life, which is intended to be a value and an educational reference in the development of the child. This curricular unit is exclusively assessed continuously [100% = 20 marks]: 1. 45%: Practical test/oral presentation; 2. 50%: Experimental practice and assessment in PE; 3. 5%: Face-to-face participation in PL classes.

The exam, with theoretical (50%) and practical (50%) tests, will be taken only if the student obtains a mark equal to or higher than 35% in the continuous assessment in expe

5. To interpret characteristics of play, motor play behavior and active play in childhood and their importance in the acquisition of skills from

different domains and for an interdisciplinary approach in education
