Teaching Methodologies

The first part of the class tend to be more theoretical exposure of the subject to be taught. However, charters, conventions, international
treaties and various legal frameworks under review will be followed by discussion in class. The case studies in the media sector will be
constant. This way, students will be required to participate actively in class making the theoretical practical discipline.
According to the Continuous Assessment Regime, the knowledge assessment process will consist of: I. A Theoretical Assessment Test
(50%); II. Practical Group Work(s), to be presented in class and in writing, based on the proposed topic(s) (50% of the final grade).
According to the Assessment Regime by Final Exam, students must enroll in this modality following the rules set by the ESEC for this
purpose.

Learning Results

a) Meet, apply and comply with external regulatory / legal practice of journalism b) Knowing the set of fundamental rights that regulate
journalistic activity c) Know the Statute of Journalists and Media Law d) be competitive and demanding, maintaining an attitude of social
responsibility on behalf of the public interest e) Know the professional autonomy, duties and rights, at media corporations f) Be strict and
competent in all situations of information production g) Protect against any criminal proceedings.
