Teaching Methodologies

The methodologies used aim at autonomy in the study and integration of T knowledge in TP and PL context.
The lectures (T) are followed by classes to the presentation of works carried out autonomously following strategies of “guided discovery” (TP and PL).
The tasks associated with the assessment by frequency are carried out throughout the semester, following the development of the respective programmed subjects.

Learning Results

1. Know the main concepts, models and general methods of sports training.
2. Knowing the specific training methods for each of the training components.
3. Know and apply the concepts, theories and planning models related to: individual sporting careers, macrocycles, mesocycles training and micro cycles.
4.Know how to adapt plans of macrocycles, mesocycles, microcycles and sports training sessions to different ages and levels and sport performance. 
5. Know specifics of the training methodology in individual sports.
6. Know specificities of the training methodology in collective sports.

5. Physical preparation in team sports and individual sports: specific training methods for each motor capacitys.

7. Tactical preparation in team sports and individual sports: objectives and specific methodologies.
8. Planning and periodization in sports training in team sports and individual sports.
8.1. Preparation of training macrocycles, mesocycles and microcycles.
9. The sports training session.
9.1. Development of plans for sports training sessions in team sports and individual sports.

Grading Methods

Assessment can be Continuous/Frequency (AC/F) and/or by Exam (AE). In both cases, the assessment is scored between 0 and 200 points, equivalent to a classification from 0 to 20 points.

The Continuous/Frequency Assessment results from the sum of the following assessment elements:

Element 1 - Theoretical-practical assignments - 40* to 80 points (20% - 40.0%);

Element 2 - Written test - 40** to 80 points (20% - 40.0%);

Element 3 - Fieldwork - 0 - 20 points (10.0%);

Element 4 - In-person participation - 0 - 20 points (10.0%)

Classification in AC/F = E1 + E2 + E3 + E4

 

 

Assessment by Written Exam (Normal, Resourse):

 1 - Only students who fulfill the practical component of the curricular unit, obtaining a positive classification (minimum of 40 points) in element 1 (Theoretical-practical works) of AC/F, are admitted to the written exam;

2 - The classification by exam is obtained by the sum of the result obtained in the practical part of the curricular unit (E1) (40-80 points) plus the classification obtained in the written exam (EE) (0 -120 points).

Exam Classification = E1 (40 to 80 points, 40%) + EE (0 - 120 points, 60%) = 40 to 200 points or 4 to 20 values.
