Teaching Methodologies

The Seminar component includes workshops involving lectures, conferences, workshops in areas and topics relevant to Special Education and the design and implementation of intervention projects. For the seminars, professionals or researchers may be invited, preferably in the context of Special Education.
Master’s students will participate directly in the seminar, presenting and publicly discussing their work in the various stages of achievement which, together with attendance and involvement, will ponder the final grade of the UC Project.
Tutorial Orientation sessions (60 hours) of the projects to be developed may be held individually or in small groups under the supervision of the advisor (s) appointed by the ESEC Scientific Technical Council.
The evaluation of U.C. Project implies the preparation and public defense of an individual written report which has its own regulation.

Learning Results

– Provide a personal summary of the knowledge and skills acquired throughout the training;

– Mobilize relevant technical and scientific skills to design, implement, regulate and evaluate research or intervention projects in the specific field of training/specialization;

– Provide trainees with a space to delve deeper into specific themes relevant to educational intervention in the context of special education;

– Provide trainees with the opportunity to share and reflect on the themes under study and the practices being developed.

Program

The syllabus developed in this CU will be different each year depending on the nature of the projects conceived by trainees (interests and opportunities) and according to the guidance of teachers responsible for the tutorial process. Every moment will be selected content considered relevant or theoretical framework (deepening of specific themes) or the more practical (construction or manipulation of tools, methodologies, techniques and specific intervention programs) to consolidate technical skills acquired over course and mobilized for the realization of the final project.
