Teaching Methodologies

Theoretical (T) contents will be presented in expositive sessions and PowerpPoint presentation, complemented by watchinh didactical videos, analysis and discussion of documents and case studies. During the theoretical-practical (TP) sessions the following startegies and procedures will be adopted: oral expositian, demonstration, observation and ev aluation instruments, and specific educational materials. 

Learning Results

  1. Critically analyze the characteristics of the Nature Tourism (NT), including aspects such as history, social organization of practice and practitioners, allowing to understand the tendency of evolution in different countries, and his potential for structuring the territories and for the sustainability of the local development;
  2. Understand the Organic of NT, identifying the strengths and weaknesses of this reality, compared with others (international): political-legal and institutional framework, supply and demand; profile, functions and training of professionals;
  3. Know the methodological tools of planning and management of programs, projects and events within the scope of NS, spaces of practice (outdoor spaces), equipment and infrastructure to support the practice, risk and safety analysis, and quality of services in order to adapt these practices to different contexts and environments of practice (air, water and earth).

2.4. The market of Nature Tourism: characteristics of the offer and demand at national and international level

3. Design, planning, management and evaluation of projects, programs and educational activities of Tourism of Nature:

3.1. Management and promotion of activities

3.2. Management and maintenance of materials and equipment

3.3. Management of natural spaces / sustainability

3.4. Management of Nature Tourism facilities

3.5. Risk and safety management

Grading Methods

The evaluation process will be carried out by continuous assessment or exam:
