Clinical Training in Audiology I

Teaching Methodologies

According to the regulation of the degree in Audiology, the final assessment of this subject comprises a continuous assessment (AC) and a summative assessment (AS):
– The final continuous classification will be the average of the classifications obtained, not rounded, in the different internship periods.
– The summative assessment includes a practical assessment at the end of the school year.
The final classification results from the application of the following formula: Final Classification Internship = (2AC + AS)/ 3

Learning Results

The student should have contact observing and performing the techniques of one of the internship areas :
Campaigns of Audiology Awareness and Screening within the community;
Children’s Audiology;
Audiology Rehabilitation;
Audiology diagnostic and changes in hearing;
Audiology diagnostic and Rehabilitation of balance disorders;
The student should also be able to apply the acquired knowledge and correlate the results with the clinical context.

Program

Undertaking of exams/tests within the area students are performing their internship according to the proposed goals of the curricular unit.
