KNOW THE CELLS THAT ARE PART OF THE IMMUNE SYSTEM AND WHICH THEIR FUNCTIONS AND INTEGRATE
THESE SKILLS IN THE CONTEXT OF IMMUNE RESPONSES TO DIFFERENT STIMULUS AS WELL AS IN THE
CONTEXT OF THE IMMUNE SYSTEM DISEASES. NAMELY IN AUTO-IMMUNE DISEASES AND ALLERGY, MOSTLY IN FOOD ALLERGIES.
THIS KNOWLEDGE WILL ALLOW THE STUDENTS TO UNDERSTAND HOW SOME FOOD COULD INTERFERE WITH THE IMMUNE SYSTEM, NAMELY INDUCING OR CONTROLING INFLAMATION.

Periodic Evaluation:
The unit will have 2 moments of evaluation:
- One consisting in a presentation about nutrition and immune system, representing 10% of the final classification. The students must reach 9,5 values minimum.
- A writing evaluation, representing 90% of the final classification. The students must reach 9,5 values minimum.
Exam Evaluation:
- A writing evaluation, representing 100% of the final classification. The theoretical/practice part of the exam will represent 30% of the final classification and will be constituted by multiple choice questions. The theoretical part of the exam will represent 70% of the final classification and will be constituted by multiple choice questions and writing questions. The students must reach 9,5 values minimum.
