Those acquired, especially in the Community Nutrition and Public Health curricular unit.

Teaching Methodologies

The curricular unit will be developed according to a theoretical model with moments of structured exposure of the contents and respective analysis and discussion or debate, as well as interrogative, interactive and demonstrative methodology. It also contemplates, and whenever the autonomous study is justified with research on the exposed contents and the reading and critical analysis of articles / texts.

Learning Results

1. Carry out the collection and systematization of the information to make a diagnosis of the food or nutritional and health situation of the population and of the various systems involved, which may influence consumption
2. Carry out an analysis of the political system and the conditions that influence decision-making of nutrition and food policies
3. Formulate strategies to ensure the integration of the food system that condition eating behavior, promoting partnerships and effective resource allocation
4. Design strategies for social, demographic and economic specificities of populations, in order to modify eating behavior
5. Formulate strategies, respecting equity, citizenship, well-being, reducing disparities and social cohesion
6. Develop and implement mechanisms for managing, monitoring and evaluating nutritional policies
7. Respect ethical aspects in the formulation of food policies

Program

1. Concepts in food / nutrition policy;
2. Critical analysis of the basic theoretical foundations for the construction of food / nutrition policies;
3. Analysis of food / nutrition policies in the national and international context;
4. Planning and implementing support systems that support decision making within the scope of a food / nutrition policy;
5. Development of intersectoral nutritional / food policies, taking into account agricultural, environmental, social, economic, health and related policies, recognizing the associated ethical principles;
6. Planning, implementation, management, monitoring and evaluation of food / nutrition policies at regional, national and international levels.
