Teaching Methodologies
Teaching in the theoretical-practical matrix is expository in nature, using audiovisual means that promote the active participation of students.
The Tutorial Orientation component aims to guide the research project to be developed.
Learning Results
The student must acquire knowledge of:
On the fundamental concepts related to the research process. You should have knowledge about the different research streams/approaches. And knowledge of a set of systematized rules and procedures that the student must master.
The student must acquire skills to:
1. Develop research according to the reality you want to study as well as choose one or more research methods as well as appropriate strategies (methods and techniques)
2. Provide students with the ability to: organize an investigation process; choose the appropriate scientific methods for the desired investigation and analyze the challenges (problems) of the real world.
The student must acquire skills to:
1. Competence for the development of systemic, methodical and rational thinking for the development of a study/research in the area of health and the environment.
2.Ability to define/formalize and implement a Research Project.
Program
Introduction to Science and Scientific Knowledge (Introductory Perspective). The Object of Knowledge. The Trinomial of Knowledge – Truth, Evidence and Certainty (2 hours).
The Scientific Method in Science: Describing, Explaining, Predicting. Research Methods: Quantitative versus Qualitative (4 hours).
Formalization of an investigation intention: The Investigation Project. a) Conceptual Research Phase (formulation of a Research Problem; State of the Art (type of sources; types of information; Electronic research; Electronic research tools and Bibliographic Referencing; Research Objectives; Research Questions or Hypotheses) (8 hours );
b) Methodological Phase (Research Designs; Population and Sample; Harvest Methods and Instruments) (8 hours);
c) Analytical Strategies (4 hours); d) Study organization/planning (4 hours).

a) Evaluation of the Research Project (TP) - 70% of the final grade
