Learning Results

Knowledge:
• Atomic and nuclear physics relevant for the understanding of the phenomena of production of radioactive release
and radioactivity.
• Physical principles of radioactive tracers and markers and relation physico-chemical characteristics/physiological
processes
• Physical principles and technology in Nuclear Medicine and PET, and in nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR)
Aptitudes:
• Using advanced knowledge of Atomic and nuclear physics in the use of radiopharmaceuticals and radioactive
tracers, and NMR techniques
• Use safe, effective and efficiently the nuclear radiation with imaging purposes
Competences:
• Make individual decisions and in multidisciplinary environment in matters involving technical and scientific
knowledge based on atomic physics, nuclear and phenomena related to radioactivity and NMR
• Develop the ability to deepen and expand knowledge in nuclear physics, the use of radioactivity and of NMR
