Base Knowledge
It is important that the student has a set of knowledge, which highlights Anatomy, Techniques, notions of Physiology and Pathology, Ethics and knowledge of the ins and outs of the hospital and the professional group where they will be inserted.
Teaching Methodologies
Teaching will be supervised by professionals in the field, in practice, who collaborate with ESTeSC and the Degree in Medical Imaging and Radiotherapy. It is up to the UC holder to define the UC’s objectives and evaluation methods in coordination with the department’s employees. Students will be encouraged to observe and consolidate the theoretical and technical-scientific knowledge acquired throughout the course, using scientific terminology properly, in an effective clinical environment.
Learning Results
The student must acquire:
• Knowledge of the organization, operation and planning of the service in which it is inserted. It should also have the knowledge to apply and evaluate methods and techniques with autonomy and responsibility, constantly improving the skills acquired during the basic training, so that as a professional is able to solve problems and situations in an appropriate, timely and autonomous manner.
• Skills to develop complex problem-solving and problem-solving capacities within their area of intervention under the supervision, evaluation and decision-making process, sensing the critical sense, professional responsibility and social sensitivity required for rigorous professional practice.
• Practical skills of initiation in General Radiology, Operative block, Computed Tomography, Magnetic Resonance, implementing basic norms of protection, safety and hygiene inherent in their professional activity

Technical procedures for carrying out the studies in Radiology;
Protocols for carrying out the examinations of all human systems;
Cardiovascular System; Gastrointestinal System; Central Nervous System; Respiratory; Breast; Identification and interpretation of prescribed examination according to the clinical situation.

The subject will be taught by practicing professionals who collaborate with ESTeSC and the Degree in Medical Imaging and Radiotherapy. It is up to the UC holder to define the objectives and forms of assessment of the UC in conjunction with department employees. Students will be encouraged to observe and consolidate the theoretical and technical-scientific knowledge acquired throughout the course, appropriately using scientific terminology in a real clinical environment. The evaluation will be carried out by the UC holder and his collaborator and comprises a moment of evaluation: a Portfolio. The final assessment for student approval must be equal to or greater than 9.5.
