Clinical Placements in Medical Imaging and Radiotherapy I

Teaching Methodologies

The subject will be taught by professionals, in-Office, who collaborate with ESTeSC and the Degree in Medical Imaging andRadiotherapy. It is up to the holder of the CU the definition of objectives and forms of evaluation of CU in coordination withemployees of the departments. Students will be encouraged to observe and consolidate the theoretical and technical-scientificknowledge acquired throughout the course, using adequately the scientific terminology in actual clinical environment.
The evaluation will take place according to the established in the Regulation of the Degree in Medical Image and Radiotherapy.

Learning Results

The student must acquire:
􀀀Knowledge of the organization, operation and planning of the service in which it is inserted. It should also have the knowledgeto apply and evaluate methods and techniques with autonomy and responsibility, constantly improving the skills acquiredduring the basic training, so that as a professional is able to solve problems and situations in an appropriate, timely andautonomous manner.
􀀀Skills to develop complex problem-solving and problem-solving capacities within their area of intervention under thesupervision, evaluation and decision-making process, sensing the critical sense, professional responsibility and socialsensitivity required for rigorous professional practice.
􀀀Practical skills of initiation in General Radiology, Operative block, Computed Tomography, Magnetic Resonance, implementingbasic norms of protection, safety and hygiene inherent in their professional activity.

Program

􀀀 Technical procedures for carrying out the studies in Radiology;
􀀀 Protocols for carrying out the examinations of all human systems: Cardiovascular System; Gastrointestinal System; CentralNervous System; Respiratory; Breast;
􀀀 Identification and interpretation of prescribed examination according to the clinical situation.
