The course will be developed according to a theoretical-practical model with structured exposition of the contents and related analysis and discussion or debate and concetual maps.
Students who obtain a minimum grade of 10 (ten), rounded up, will be considered to have passed this course unit. Continuous assessment

Understand typical and pathological development throughout childhood and adolescence.
Identify risk factors and warning signs in neurodevelopmental and mental disorders in paediatric populations.
Describe clinical and neuropsychological assessment methods suitable for these age groups.
Interpret neuropsychological profiles and understand the principles of classification and diagnosis in child and adolescent psychopathology.
Select and use assessment tools and techniques adapted to the context and clinical condition.
Critically analyse clinical data and integrate information from different sources into diagnostic reasoning.Develop clinical reasoning grounded in scientific evidence. Communicate clearly and appropriately with professionals, children, adolescents and families.
