Teaching Methodologies
Lectures – expository method, analysis and discussion of the syllabus.
Theoretical-practical classes – integration and discussion of the syllabus through simulation and selection of different assessment methodologies to be applied according to needs;
Practical classes – simulated practice in applying different methodologies to assess occupations, contexts, performance standards, performance competencies and client factors;
Autonomous work – Preparation of a critical individual work of descriptive analysis of a case study;

Learning Results
In this curricular unit, students should
Demonstrate clinical reasoning inherent in the process of assessment in occupational therapy in individuals of adult and advanced age;
Know, understand and describe the stages of the assessment process in the population of adult and advanced age;
Know, understand and demonstrate the ability to select different assessment methodologies and adapt and apply assessment instruments according to needs;
Show the ability to carry out the assessment of occupations, contexts, performance standards, performance competences and client factors, using assessment methodologies and instruments;
Record, analyze, interpret and relate the results of the assessment carried out to the cases presented (case studies).
