Technologies and Support Products in Occupational Therapy

Teaching Methodologies

In order to follow a pedagogical model centered on the student and oriented towards the development of professional skills in the area of Occupational Therapy, the following teaching methods are proposed:
Lectures: expository, demonstrative and interrogative;
Theoretical-practical classes with active methods and analysis of problem situations

Students who obtain a minimum grade of 10 (ten), rounded up, will be considered to have passed this course unit. Continuous assessment
written test (50%) and group work (50%)
Final assessment
Regular/resit/special exam period: written test (50%) and individual work (50%)

Learning Results

Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the diverse nature of occupation situated in relation to health, well-being, participation, occupational and social justice in complex contexts; Evidence effective application of up-to-date communication and information technologies according to the needs of individuals, groups, populations and communities; Apply advocacy approaches to promote the occupational rights of individuals, groups, populations and communities; Analyse and evaluate environmental and contextual factors and their influence on participation, occupational and social justice; Demonstrate responsibility in applying knowledge of occupational therapy and occupational science in professional and social settings, ensuring respect for the diversity of contexts, ethics and sustainability
