Teaching Methodologies
Theoretical Classes: Expository and demonstrative teaching of the different dysfunctions and diagnoses in Occupational Therapy, as well as their impact on occupational performance.
Theoretical-Practical Classes: Expository and active teaching of the different intervention methodologies, approaches and techniques in Occupational Therapy. Analysis and study of cases.
Practical classes: Demonstration and exemplification by the teacher of the approaches and techniques taught, with simulated practice among the students, under the supervision of the teacher.
Students who obtain a minimum grade of 10 (ten), rounded up, will be considered to have passed this course unit. Continuous assessment Class participation (25%) + Group work (45%) + written test (30%)
Final assessment
Regular/resit/special exam period: written test (50%) and individual work (50%)

Learning Results
Understand, analyse, interpret, and apply knowledge about different physical dysfunctions and their impact on occupational performance, patterns, contexts, roles, and occupational development throughout the life cycle.
Know, understand, select, and apply strategies and techniques based on practice models and methods that address the occupational needs of people with physical dysfunctions.
Know, understand, and select appropriate types of intervention approaches, respecting each stage of treatment and the occupational needs of each individual, and basing decisions on scientific evidence.
Demonstrate the ability to select the most appropriate intervention for each individual, taking into account occupational science, performance areas, meaningful occupations, and different contexts.
Adapt and apply the occupational therapy process in close collaboration with the individual, group, family, and caregivers.
