Course Objectives

Aseptic handling is fundamental to ensuring the safety of drug treatments administered to patients in a hospital setting. This process involves rigorous
techniques aimed at preventing contamination of medications, especially those
administered parenterally. Aseptic preparation ensures that medications are handled under controlled conditions, protecting patients from potential infections and preserving the integrity of the medications. Furthermore, aseptic handling is essential for personalizing treatment, allowing doses to be adjusted according to each patient’s specific needs, which contributes to improved quality of care and reduced risk of complications.
