Course Objectives
The creation of this Micro-credential is justified by the growing need for physiotherapists capable of responding in a specialized way to the complex challenges posed by cancer patients throughout the continuum of care. Oncology represents one of the areas with the greatest impact on public health, with high prevalence, increased survival and consequent need for specialized physiotherapy care. The proposed programmatic contents respond directly to the most relevant and frequent clinical needs in the practice of physiotherapy with regard to people with oncological conditions. They also allow the development of skills to act safely, based on evidence and adjusted to the specificity of different types of cancer, populations and stages of treatment.
