Teaching Methodologies

There will be no teaching of theoretical or laboratory classes.

Learning Results

This curricular unit aims to raise students’ awareness of the importance that experimental methods can have in solving engineering problems and provide training that allows them to operate, configure and select measurement systems.

Students must acquire the following skills:

– Know and understand the principle and know how to use the main electrical measuring devices;

– Know and understand the operating principle of the different elements of an instrumentation system;

– Know and understand the main characteristics, applications and limitations of Operational Amplifiers;

– Know and understand the main principles of transduction;

– have the ability to develop small applications in Virtual Instrumentation.

Grading Methods

Theoretical Component: 12 values

- Theoretical assessment is carried out through 2 tests or a final exam.

- Students must have a minimum of 8 points (out of 20) in the 1st frequency to access the second.

- Students without minimums in the 1st frequency will take a normal exam.

- The 1st test will be held on 3/4/2024 and the 2nd test will be held on the day of the exam in the normal season, with students being able to choose to take the second test or the exam.

- Approval conditional on obtaining a minimum of 9 (out of 20) in the theoretical component.

 

Laboratory Component: 8 values

- The laboratory grade from previous years will be considered.

- Students without laboratory approval will have to undergo a laboratory assessment exam
