Study the electrical generation systems, with particular focus on renewable production.

Provide students with the most important concepts about the operation of different types of power plants.

Provide students with the knowledge of the rules to carry out studies of economic analysis of projects for electricity generation units.

Grading Methods

Students may choose one of two assessment methods.

Assessment Method I

The group assessment will be carried out through the completion of assignments and has a weight of 35% in the final grade, requiring a minimum of 3.25 points out of 7. 

The individual assessment, referring to the theoretical and theoretical-practical part, can be carried out throughout the semester (two tests), or it can be carried out during the various exam periods. This assessment has a weight of 65% in the final grade, requiring a minimum of 5.75 points out of 13.

The final grade is assigned through the weighting of the results obtained in the individual and group assessment, and it is mandatory to achieve a grade equal to or higher than 9.5 points out of 20.

 

 Assessment Method II

Individual assessment, covering the theoretical and practical sections, and the practical assignment topics. This assessment will be conducted during the various exam periods.
