Teaching Methodologies
In the theoretical lectures is made a presentation of theoretical concepts and their apllication, well as the resolution of complementary exercises.
Laboratory classes with problem solving, which include discussion, analysis and development of the respective algorithm and its implementation in C language. All phases are monitored by the teacher.
Learning Results
The aim is encourage students to solve problems through the development of the respective algorithms.
It is intended to teach students how to develop a program in a structured way.
Provide students with the basics of the C language, which allow them the possibility to develop small programs.

Assessment:
- Written final exam to 15 values, with the minimum of 6 values (in 15 values).
- 2 individual performance tests for a total of 5 values. The sudent must have a minimum of 2 values (in 5 values).
Students with marks above 17 must submit to an oral defence to maintain their marks. If the defence not succeeds, the mark will be capped at 17.
If the professor decides it is necessary, an oral test will confirm the final mark.
Conditions for Access to the Exam, valid for all exam calls:
- No more than two absences in laboratory classes.
- Obtain a minimum of 2 values in the average of the two tests.
- Valid for all examination calls.
The assessment of students who are granted special status will be conducted in accordance with applicable legislation.
