Students must have completed level A1.1.

Teaching Methodologies

Learning Results

 

In this semester the student will obtain language skills corresponding to the second half of the A1 level.
Having completed the semester, the student should be able to:
· talk about one’s family
· describe people physically and psychologically
· describe one’s house and furniture
· make appointments and talk about health
· giving tips and advice
· analyze graphs in a simple way
· describe shopping habits
· explain the advantages and disadvantages of the topics studied
· plan trips
· explain preferences (parties, clothes, habits)
· make suggestions
· talk about the past (with Perfekt and Präteritum)
· master the modal verbs taught
· formulate orders and requests with the imperative

The following topics will be covered:

· Possessivartikel im Nominativ und Akkusativ
· Indefinitpronomen: man, alles, viel, etwas, nichts
· Präpositionen mit Dativ: bei, mit, von
· Präteritum: haben und sein
· Lokalpräpositionen mit Dativ: an, auf, in, über, unter, hinter, vor, neben, zwischen
· Lokalpräpositionen: an, in nach, von, zu
· Perfekt: regelmäßige, unregelmäßige und gemischte Verben

· Modalverben im Präsens: sollen, dürfen
· Imperativ: formell und informell
· Personalpronomen im Akkusativ
· Personalpronomen im Dativ
· Komparativ und Superlativ
· Frageartikel und -pronomen welch
· Demonstrativartikel und -pronomen dies-
· Vorschläge und höfliche Fragen mit könnt- und würd
· Hauptsatzkonnektoren: aber, denn, und, oder
· kausale Nebensätze – Begründung mit weil

Grading Methods

 

 

*Continuous Assessment:

 70% = 2 written tests (dates to be determined)

 30% = 2 oral presentations (dates to be determined)

 

Students must attend 75% of the total number of classes.

 In case of failure in the Continuous Assessment, students may take the Regular Exam and the Resit Exam.

 When taking any exam, the score obtained in the continuous assessment is ignored.

 

*Final Assessment

By choosing this assessment method, students may take the Regular Exam and the Resit Exam.

All exams involve a written part (80%) and an oral part (20%). If possible, the oral component will be done immediately after the written part.
