To achieve this goal and also to increase the effectiveness of learning we use an active, collaborative and eclectic approach to the various methodologies.
Learning Results
Be able to summarize key events in Europe in the 20th century.
Describe essential aspects of European politics in the 20th century.
Provide a general framework of the European Union, its history, and its constituent countries, in political, economic and social terms.
Make students aware of the cultural differences between the various European peoples and the consequent implications in Organizations.
Explain and discuss the measures taken by the EU to slow down global warming.
Describe some EU strategies to improve the lives of people with disabilities.

Continuous assessment will be as follows:
- 50% one written test on the 15th May.
- 25% evaluation with Professor Ana consisting on the following: 10% for presentations and in-class work and 15% for one individual presentation prepared at home.
- 25% evaluation with Professor Bruna consisting on the following: 10% for presentations and in-class work and 15% for individual presentations.
You may choose to do this subject by continuous assessment or by final exam.
If by the first, then you must come to 75% of the classes, meaning you may skip a maximum of 3 classes with each teacher. If by the latter, you will have to do a written test covering the entire semester.
