Learning Results

This training unit aims to provide skills that enable participants to:

Understand the concepts of ERP and data warehousing systems;
Extract, transform and integrate data into data warehousing systems;
Assess performance and optimisation requirements;
Design applications for multidimensional database systems;
Use data analysis systems.

Fundamental concepts of ERP, CRM, and SCM.
Concepts of Data Warehouse (DW) and Data Lake.
DW administration.
Data modelling tools.
Fundamentals of analytical processing (OLAP).
Analytical processing systems.

Grading Methods

According to the CTeSP ISEC regulations, in order to obtain attendance, it is mandatory to attend at least 75% of the total hours of the course unit. This condition is valid for access to all assessments to be carried out during the academic period.
Students who meet the criteria for exemption from attendance provided for by law are exempt from this regime.

The assessment of the course unit will be done through continuous assessment, which consists of:

Three written theoretical/practical tests taken in class
Participation in activities, exercises and challenges made available during contact hours
Completion of a practical assignment/project, in groups of 2, with individual presentation.

One handwritten A4 page is allowed for consultation during the test.

Printed or photocopied sheets are not allowed.

These rules apply to all written assessments for this course this semester.

The practical work/project will be carried out in groups of 2 students, subject to the teacher's approval.

A date will be set for the partial delivery of the project plan to be executed, duly structured.

A date will be set for the delivery/submission of the final work, and any delay in delivery will be deducted from the grade.

The project presentation will be individual, according to the schedule to be made available.

 

Students' approval is conditional upon meeting the following requirements:

a) Attendance of at least 75% of the total hours of the course unit
b) Completion of the assessment
• 3 continuous assessment tests (A+B+C)
•1 practical assignment/project (D)
•Participation in the activities, exercises and challenges provided (E)
c)The final grade will be obtained by weighting the continuous assessment marks
d)The final mark must be a minimum of 9.5 on a scale of 0-20


The final mark will be calculated using the following formula:

Final grade for the course unit = [Average (A; B; C) * 50%] + [Project (D) * 30%] + [Activities (E) * 20%]

Note: Rounding of the grade to the nearest whole number is only applied to the final grade; calculations are made to two decimal places.
