Higher Technical Professional Course in Civil Protection

Course Objectives

The professional technician in Civil Protection will be a professional who, integrated in a team or independently, will assume responsibilities in support tasks in emergency interventions, collaboration in the planning and direction of teams in different works within the scope of management crisis and protection of people and property.

Access Conditions

The following may apply for the CTeSP in Civil Protection: Individuals who meet the access conditions set out in article 40-E of Decree-Law no. of 16 August, which are specified in subparagraphs a) to c), below, and cumulatively satisfy the entry conditions defined in subparagraphs d) or e) below: a) Hold a secondary education course or qualification legally equivalent; b) Having passed the tests specifically designed to assess the ability to attend higher education for those over 23 years of age, carried out for the course in question, under the terms of Decree-Law No. 64/2006, of 21 March and Decree-Law no. 113/2014, of 16 July; c) Holders of a technological specialization diploma, a higher professional technician diploma or a higher education degree, who wish to re-qualify professionally. d) For the purposes of article 40-F of Decree-Law no. Article 40-E of Decree-Law no. 63/2016, of 13 September, with mention in subparagraph a) of number 3 of the Public Notice, is subject to approval in a Mathematics subject in the 10th and 11th year or equivalent modular contents of typology B taught in courses specified in paragraphs b), c), d), e) and f) of article 6 of Decree-Law nº 139/2012, of 5 June, and in the case of paragraph d) it is required to pass the disciplinary units of mathematics of the 10th, 11th and 12th year of professional courses. e) For the purposes of article 40-F of Decree-Law no. And from Decree-Law no. approval in a curricular unit of Mathematics, Mathematical Analysis or equivalent, integrated in a Technological Specialization Course, Professional Higher Technical Course or Higher Education Course of which they hold, provided that the level of knowledge is equal to or greater than the requirements defined for holders of a secondary education course or legally equivalent qualification.
